Laura Gurski is a partner with the global management consulting firm, A.T. Kearney. She is the Global Practices Leader where she has responsibility for accelerating the firm’s global industry and service practices. In this position she will develop the firm’s practice leaders, strengthen account development, and support portfolio investment planning and implementation.

Laura will continue to work closely with her global Consumer & Retail sector clients as Partner and former Global Leader of the Consumer Products & Retail Practice. She has significant experience working with retailers and consumer packaged goods companies around the globe. The focus of Laura’s consulting engagements is driving profitability through growth strategy and organization transformation. Laura’s previous experience includes senior marketing positions in brand management, merchant and product marketing for Sears and later Morgan Stanley’s Discover Card, and sales promotion and advertising for a regional food retailer.

In 2011 Laura was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Consultants by Consulting Magazine.
She is widely quoted on business issues in print and broadcast publications including CNBC, Bloomberg, National Public Radio, New York Times, Financial Times, Associated Press and Reuters.

Laura earned her Masters of Management from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University with an emphasis in strategy, finance, and international business. Her international studies were in China and Hong Kong. Her Bachelor of Science is from Northern Illinois University with an emphasis on Marketing and French.

Laura is a member of the Chicago Network, the Executives’ Club of Chicago and is also a member of the Women’s Leadership Program. She is a member of the Board for the non-for profit, Prevail, an organization that enables those in need to get back to work. Laura is also an active mentor within A.T. Kearney and serves to mentor women outside of the firm through A.T. Kearney’s alumni network. She served on the Board of Directors for Alcuin Montessori School where she led the Marketing Committee and currently serves as the Board advisor. She has held membership with the Evening Associates for the Art Institute of Chicago.

Laura is married with two children. She and her family reside in Oak Park, IL. Laura is an avid runner and enjoys traveling with her family.
