Julie Scott is President and Chief Executive Officer of CTS Holdings, Inc., a hands-on business advisory and project management firm focused on Finance & Accounting, Information Technology and Supply Chain issues for Fortune 1000 and middle market companies throughout the U.S., as well as in Europe, Latin America, Middle East and China. By leveraging an industry-experienced approach, CTS provides a practical, ‘walked in your shoes’ perspective. As a woman-owned and managed firm, CTS is a WBDC- certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE).

Along with the CTS team, Julie advises clients on a full spectrum of business and systems integration issues including business process improvement, software selection, design & implementation, internal audit compliance & corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, organizational change management, strategic transactions and IPO-readiness.

Prior to CTS, Julie served as Director of Professional Services for a national professional services firm, Parson Group, ranked #1 in the Inc. 500 fastest growing private companies during her five-year tenure.

Previously, Julie served as the Corporate Controller for Crate & Barrel, a multi-national retailer where she managed financial operations, reporting, planning, financial systems, and strategic analysis. Previously, Julie served as Director of Corporate Financial Reporting for Montgomery Ward & Co, Inc., which encompassed SEC reporting, and investor relations. She began her career as an Auditor with Grant Thornton, focused on SEC registrants.

Board Service

Julie serves on the Board of Directors for the University of Illinois Alumni Association, where she serves on the Operations and Finance Committees. In addition, she serves on the College of Business Alumni Association’s Executive Committee as Vice-President. She is also a member of the University of Illinois President’s Council and the University of Illinois Foundation. Through their family foundation, Julie and her husband established a scholarship program in Entrepreneurship at the University of Illinois.

In addition, Julie also serves on the Board of Directors for the YWCA of Chicago, whose mission is the empowerment of women and elimination of racism. As a very active board member of the YWCA, she has served on the Executive Committee as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair, and previously as Audit Committee chair and Program and Advocacy Committee of the YWCA board.

Recently, Julie was appointed to the St. Ignatius College Prep Board of Trustees where she currently serves on the Finance Committee. She is also an active mentor and donor for the LINK Unlimited Scholars program, to promote college success readiness for high school students in under-served communities.

She also serves on the Women’s Leadership Council for the United Way of Chicago, along with its Tocqueville Society.

During its formation, Julie served with Arzu, a Social Business Enterprise established to educate and train Afghan women for sustainable poverty alleviation and empowerment.

Other Professional Affiliations

Julie is a member of The Chicago Network, where she chairs the Entrepreneurs Committee. She is also an active member of the Chicago Finance Exchange (CFE), and has served as Co-Chairperson for the Finance & Venture Capital Committee of the Technology Executives Club and as a business plan review panelist for the Illinois Coalition.

Education

Julie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign, cum laude. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the Illinois CPA Society. She resides with her family in Chicago.
