Cheryl Rucker-Whitaker is the Founding Chief Executive Officer of Complete Care Management Partners, LLC. As CEO, Dr. Whitaker is responsible setting the overall strategy and direction of the company. As a physician, Dr. Rucker-Whitaker is able to bring learned insight from her experience about opportunities to support transitions of care from the hospital and facilitate successful post-acute transitions of care. As an intentional entrepreneur, Dr. Rucker-Whitaker is expert in translating epidemiologic, acute care and social determinants of health data to services that meet client needs.
Dr. Rucker-Whitaker is President and Chair of Board of Governors of the Institute of Medicine Chicago and Chair of the Illinois State Medicaid Advisory Committee. She sits on the Dean’s Council for Emory College of Emory University. She is a graduate of Emory University, Washington University School of Medicine, and the Harvard School of Public Health. She did her internship in internal medicine at Stanford University Medical Center and residency in primary care internal medicine at the University of California San Francisco. She is a frequent medical contributor for WVONAM-1690 radio.
She is a wife and mother of 2 teens and 2 puppies. She loves talking about raising resilient children, tasting different pinot noirs, and playing scrabble. Her new pandemic activity is making incredible salads.
