Laura Thonn

Laura Thonn is currently the Chicago Office Managing Partner and has over 25 years of experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) serving clients primarily as a Trust Solutions partner in the consumer markets and industrial products industries. She has spent her entire career based in Chicago, while working with large global teams and clients. Laura is passionate about serving others and has a hands-on, collaborative style that values balanced and transparent communications. Laura has extensive experience leading global audit relationships and advising her clients on acquisitions, divestitures and complex transactions. She is active in PwC’s consumer markets sector, bringing insights to many clients and is a member of the PwC extended leadership team. Laura is a recognized leader with PwC’s partners and staff and is passionate about being of service to others. She has been actively involved in the PwC Access Your Potential commitment in our community. Laura is active in the Chicago community and is a board member for Kids First Chicago, Start Early, the Executive’s Club of Chicago, Illinois Chamber of Commerce, and World Business Chicago; she is a past board member of Chicago International Charter Schools. Laura is also a member at the Commercial Club of Chicago, the Civic Committee of the Commercial Club of Chicago, the Economic Club of Chicago, as well as the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of CPAs. Laura is the past award recipient of the 2017 Woman of Influence Award and 2005 Woman to Watch-Emerging Leader awarded by the Illinois CPA Society and AICPA. Laura holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College and M.A. in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago.
