Julie Howard

Julie Howard joined Navigant Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: NCI) in 1998 and has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2003, and President and COO since 2006. Ms. Howard has 24 years of professional services experience in multiple roles. As an industry veteran, she has served as a Consultant and held several Corporate Management positions. Currently, Ms. Howard is responsible for the overall management of the Company’s operations including consulting, human capital, marketing, sales, international development and strategic planning.

As President and Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Howard plays an integral role in leading the development and implementation of the Company’s strategic and operating initiatives. Her tenure with NCI has been marked by rapid organic and acquisitive growth, and she has spearheaded the development and execution of numerous initiatives to leverage the organization’s growth and to ensure the successful and profitable integration and management of multiple operating models, cultures, systems, policies and infrastructures. She has developed and instituted programs to support the growth of the organization, including strategic market analysis and planning, targeted business development, operating model and profitability enhancements, compensation, incentive and retention programs, client channel alignment and integrated brand management. Ms Howard is also a champion of women’s leadership development for both clients and employees.

Over the last two years, Ms. Howard assumed responsibility and active in-country leadership of the Company’s international businesses, during which time she restructured the operations, re-aligned the services platform for growth and developed a leadership team.

Ms. Howard’s role in the Company’s market facing activities includes interaction with clients, bankers, advisors and the shareholder community. She regularly briefs analysts and institutional investors, and represents the Company in industry and client forums. She also is engaged in Board/Governance matters and has participated in all NCI Board of Director meetings for the past eight years.

Ms. Howard is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. She has also continued her educational pursuits via completion of several Harvard Business School Executive Education programs, with a focus in Finance and Management. In addition, Ms Howard recently completed the Corporate Governance Seminar at Stanford.

Ms. Howard is a member of the Board of Directors for Unitrin, a member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Management Consulting Firms, a member of the Foundation Board for Children’s Memorial Hospital, a member of the Board of the Business School of the University of Wisconsin, and serves on the Board of Governors for the Metropolitan Planning Council in Chicago. She is a founding member of the Women’s Leadership and Mentoring Alliance (WLMA).
