Jill Wrobel is the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Brunswick Corporation, a global leader in marine recreation and technology. Brunswick is a Fortune 600 public company headquartered in Mettawa, Illinois. In her HR Officer role, Ms. Wrobel leads Brunswick’s culture, talent and operating model strategy for 15,000 employees in 25 countries, supporting over 60-industry leading marine brands. During her time at the company, Brunswick has been recognized as a Forbes best place to work company, a top ten US News and World Report employer for employee experience, one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Mental Wellbeing from Newsweek Magazine, Time Magazine’s No. 1 ranked midsize company in the Engineering and Manufacturing category plus many other diversity and employer of choice awards.
In addition to her human capital responsibilities, Ms. Wrobel has led Brunswick enterprise initiatives with broad governance and operational significance, including multi-million-dollar cost transformation P&L programs, business system design and deployment, co-lead on Brunswick AI strategy, crisis response teams, interim Chief Information Technology leadership, labor and organizational program management, and real estate facilities oversight. She reports to the CEO and is one of the top three senior female executives of the company. Ms. Wrobel leads management support for all HR & Compensation Committee meetings and co-leads the Nominating & Governance Committee for board succession matters.
Ms. Wrobel was named to the 2022 Crain’s Chicago Business’ Notable Executives in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and the Boating Industry Women Making Waves award list for women in the marine industry who made significant impact. She cohosts an internal Brunswick leadership podcast, Propelling Perspectives, which won a DotComm Gold award, and is the recipient of various alumni awards. Before Brunswick, her professional experience included roles of increasing responsibility and scope at Walgreens Boots Alliance and PwC, with extensive experience in full cycle M&A, from due diligence to integration, large transformation workforce initiatives, including rapid hiring, restructuring, business launches, and mega technology transformations to respond to digital and Artificial Intelligence strategic needs.
Ms. Wrobel has 15 years of nonprofit board and fiduciary experience. She currently serves on the board of the Melanoma Research Foundation as the Finance Committee Chair and past Treasurer, and as a board member on the American Cancer Society’s Illinois chapter. She also served on the Old Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church board of advisors, one of the prominent Catholic Churches in Chicago.
Ms. Wrobel started her career as a pension actuary and is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. She is a Cum Laude graduate from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana with a dual degree in Mathematics and Finance. She lives in Elmhurst with her husband and her two sons.
