Jennifer is the President & CEO of Chicago Children’s Museum and has worked in the field of informal education for 35 years, beginning as an intern at Chicago Children’s Museum in 1991. After various roles at arts, culture, and education institutions, she became President and Chief Executive Officer of Chicago Children’s Museum in 2008. Inspired by her experiences teaching, learning, and making art, Jennifer is deeply committed to every child’s right to play, free-choice learning, and self-expression, as well as lifelong learning, cultural participation, and creative experiences for all families. Active in the museum field, Jennifer regularly presents on topics related to play, learning, and museum leadership. She has held numerous volunteer leadership roles, including those with the Association of Children’s Museums, Illinois Action for Children, and After School Matters. She holds a B.A. from Columbia College and an M.Ed. from the University of Illinois Chicago, as well as professional credentials from Harvard Business School, Reggio Children, and the Cultural Competency Leadership Institute.
