Balika Sonthalia

Balika is a Senior Partner and Americas leader of Kearney’s Strategic Operations Practice. She is a C-suite advisor on the End-to-End supply chain transformation agenda within consumer goods and retail industry and has deep subject matter expertise in logistics and distribution for all major sectors that make and distribute products. Her thought leadership has been covered in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Supply Chain Quarterly, SCMR, Supply Chain Dive and Inbound Logistics. As the Strategic Operations Practice Leader, Balika is responsible for the performance of the firm’s largest practice in Americas which includes overseeing the practice growth and profitability, product innovation, and the management of a ~170 consultant and 25 person partner team. In addition to her current Practice Leader role Balika also sits on the firm’s Americas Management Team and has held additional leadership roles in the past including running America’s Supply Chain Distribution tower and serving as the partner-sponsor for the Americas Talent Acquisition team. Balika has a passion for her people and her clients which has led her to receive multiple industry recognitions such as Top 25 Operations Consultant, Consulting Magazine’s Women Leaders in Consulting in 2016 and the Working Parent Award in 2019. Balika holds an Engineering degree from SNDT Women’s University in Mumbai and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. She is based in Chicago with her husband and her avid cricket-loving eight-year-old son.
