Marci is the Chief Communications Officer at Grant Thornton and also serves as a member of the National Leadership Team.
Experience
Marci brings three decades of strategic communications skills to our firm, including Fortune 500 leadership experience in corporate communications, public relations and corporate responsibility.
Marci most recently served as senior vice president, corporate relations at The Allstate Corp. As a board-elected officer of the company, she led a public relations department of more than 100 team members with responsibility for reputation leadership, public affairs, media relations, strategic business communications, crisis communications and issues management, and CEO communications. She also led communications and public affairs for Stryker Corp., one of the world’s leading medical technology companies. She has held leadership positions with United Airlines Inc., USG Corp., BMO Harris Bank N.A., NutraSweet Co., and Quaker Oats Co.

Community involvement
Marci is a member of Lincoln Park Zoo Board of Trustees, Zoo Programs Committee and the Resource Development Committee. She is a former member of the WTTW board of trustees, former vice chair of the Children Affected by AIDS Foundation and a former board member of the Joffrey Ballet and Chicago Children’s Museum. Marci is a former Board member of Tutoring Chicago.

Marci has a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
