Sarah Guernsey is Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs at the Art Institute of Chicago. She oversees the departments of Academic Engagement and Research, Conservation, Design, Digital Experience, Imaging, Publishing, Registration, and the Ryerson and Burnham Libraries. With more than twenty years of experience in cross- departmental curatorial collaboration, content development, scholarly publishing, digital innovations, and design excellence, Sarah most recently served as Vice President for Publishing and Design at the Art Institute and was the 2016 chair of the National Museum Publishing Seminar. She holds a Master’s degree in art history, theory, and criticism from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
