The Chicago Network invites you as well as members of Women Corporate Directors, C200 and the Chicago Finance Exchange to join us for an interactive panel discussion that explores the nature of Board Director opportunities within public and private companies and why it is important to know the difference as one explores serving on Boards now or in the future.

Board service can means different things depending on the type of company one serves.  As you begin to explore their first or second Board opportunities, it is useful to understand  what a Director role entails on a public versus private versus family-owned versus investor backed company Board.. What are the experiences most desired by these different types of organizations, what are the expectations of a Director and how might the tenure of service differ?

We are bringing together a wonderful and experienced group of panelists with experience serving on Boards of diverse types of companies. They will share their story of how they came to serve on the companies they do, what they have learned and how they would advise others beginning this same journey.
