April 21, 2009 - The 20th annual Women in the Forefront Luncheon was held on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at the Hilton Chicago. We were thrilled to have Hewitt Associates as our Platinum Sponsor. Our keynote speaker was
Padmasree Warrior, Cisco Systems' Chief Technology Officer and The Chicago
Network member. She is responsible for helping drive the company’s
technological innovations and strategy, and works closely with its
senior executive team and board of directors. As a pioneer for what’s
possible, she pushes the organization to stretch beyond in technology,
and also in its strategic partnerships and new business models.

Warrior is also a strong and vocal advocate for women and minorities in
math, science and engineering. In 2001 she was one of six women
nationwide selected to receive the "Women Elevating Science and
Technology" award from Working Woman magazine.
