Question: What is The Chicago Network?
Answer: The Chicago Network (TCN) is an organization of professional women in the Chicago area who have reached the highest echelons of business, the arts, government, the professions and academia. Founded in 1979, TCN's 400 members have leading roles in corporations, professional service firms, government agencies, health care companies, entrepreneurial enterprises, the arts and non-profit organizations.

Question: What does The Chicago Network do?
Answer: TCN supports women in professional careers by providing a forum for friendship, cross-disciplinary contacts and knowledge and holds programs on current cultural, political and business matters. TCN publishes the annual Chicago Network Census, which tracks the progress of women in the Chicago area's leading publicly traded companies and largest nonprofits. TCN also hosts the annual Women in the Forefront Luncheon, featuring a nationally known woman as keynote speaker and highlighting prominent women in the region.

Answer: TCN members may come from any professional arena.

Question: What are the qualifications for membership?

Answer: Members are accomplished leaders in their fields, usually the top ranking woman in their organization, who are also active in civic duties.
